Hi my name is Big Billy, I am a 15hh bay cob. I like teaching the more experienced riders as I am very bouncy. I sometimes pull grumpy faces but I’m really a softy. When I am not being ridden I love spending time with my old mate Chocs, we spend ages grooming each other.
Hi my name is Prince, I am a 16hh bay gelding, I have a white blaze down my face & 4 white socks. I am a big chap so I tend to be ridden by the adults. I am forward going & love to jump. When I am not being ridden I love spending time with the smaller ponies, I especially like the Dartmoor’s, they are so cute.
Hi my name is Elliot, I am a 12hh Dartmoor pony. I have lived at Longfield all my life as I was born here. When I was younger I went to the Great Yorkshire show & got a 3rd place. I am a cheeky chap who loves teaching little girls & boys to ride. When I am not being ridden I love to spend the days in the field with my little brother Vinny.
Hi my name is Decker, I am a 14hh piebald gelding. I have recently moved to Longfield on loan as my Mummy is busy working. I like teaching the more confident riders, I am quite forward & love to jump. When I am not being ridden I love to eat & roll in the mud. I hope I pass all my assessments & can stay as everyone has been very nice to me so far.
Hi my name is Chocs. I am a 14hh bay pony. I have lived at Longfield most of my life. When I was younger I loved jumping. As I am getting a bit older I am now enjoying teaching the smaller riders. When I am not being ridden I love to spend time grooming Big Billy in the field.
Hi my name is Bailey. I am a 14.2hh black cob, I have 4 white socks & a stripe down my face. I enjoy teaching all riders, but I especially like jumping. When I am not being ridden I spend my time in the field with the new boy Decker.
Hi my name is Paint, I am a 12hh Dartmoor pony, I used to be a broodmare before joining the school. You might have seen my two boys Elliot & Vinny in the school. I like teaching the younger boys & girls to ride, especially the ones who have never ridden before. When I’m not being ridden I like spending time with my friends in the field.
Hi my name is Vinny, I am a 12hh Dartmoor pony. I have lived at Longfield all my life as I was born here. I am not as cheeky as my big brother Elliot, I like teaching the more confident boys & girls as I am a little speedier than Elliot. When I am not being ridden I love to spend the days in the field with my big brother Elliot eating grass.
Hi my name is Little Billy, I am a 12.2hh grey pony. I like teaching boys & girls to ride. When I am not being ridden I love eating & rolling in the mud!
Hi my name is Rambo. I am a 15.2hh piebald gelding. I like to teach all types of rider, however I am a little big for some. I am quite forward going & love to jump. When I am not being ridden I like to eat (as you can tell by the size of my belly).
As a livery at Longfield, I feel that my horse is kept in safe hands and i have mountains of knowledge and help around me!
My Instructor Kate is the best, as she gets the best out of me, with lessons that are challenging and fun. I’m left very satisfied and looking forward to learning more. All possible thanks to well cared for chosen horses.
I've been riding at Longfield for 7 years and I’ve never gone a lesson without learning something new. The best thing so far was going to the Pony Club championships in 2010, it was ace!
Having been a contented 'happy hacker' for many years I had developed several bad habits and needed some professional input... What a find Longfield Equestrian Centre has been! Well cared for, happy contented horses, great facilities and a truly wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. My instructor Kate has been superb. Taking time to understand what i want from the lessons, she has a great way of explaining things, is happy to answer any questions and has worked with me to improve my riding position and skills. I would not hesitate in recommending Longfield Eqestrian Centre to anyone.
