Meet the horses and Ponies
Our riding school ponies are well loved and cared for. Everyone has their favourite and there is a horse or pony to suit experienced and inexperienced riders alike.
Prince
Hi my name is Prince, I am a 16hh bay gelding, I have a white blaze down my face & 4 white socks. I am a big chap so I tend to be ridden by the adults. I am forward going & love to jump. When I am not being ridden I love spending time with the smaller ponies, I especially like the Dartmoor’s, they are so cute.
Rambo
Hi my name is Rambo. I am a 15.2hh piebald gelding. I like to teach all types of rider, however I am a little big for some. I am quite forward going & love to jump. When I am not being ridden I like to eat (as you can tell by the size of my belly).
Vinny
Hi my name is Vinny, I am a 12hh Dartmoor pony. I have lived at Longfield all my life as I was born here. I am not as cheeky as my big brother Elliot, I like teaching the more confident boys & girls as I am a little speedier than Elliot. When I am not being ridden I love to spend the days in the field with my big brother Elliot eating grass.
Elliot
Hi my name is Elliot, I am a 12hh Dartmoor pony. I have lived at Longfield all my life as I was born here. When I was younger I went to the Great Yorkshire show & got a 3rd place. I am a cheeky chap who loves teaching little girls & boys to ride. When I am not being ridden I love to spend the days in the field with my little brother Vinny.
Quennie
Hi my name is Queenie. I am 14.2hh and love the attention my dappled coat and long mane brings. I like teaching all kinds of people to ride and help both children and adults with their riding. I particularly like it when we do dressage and look amazing after all the pampering.
Mowgli
Hi my name is Mowgli. I came to Longfield through the BHS second chance scheme and have loved making here my new home. Everyone loves me because I am a very pretty pony. My favourite things are trotting quickly around the school and having fun in the field with the mares.
