Longfield Equestrian Centre can be found situated high above the picturesque little town of Todmorden at the base of the Pennine Hills. It is within easy reach from Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
Established 1n 1979 from humble beginnings we have grown into the areas most progressive riding center catering for novice riders through to advanced competition riders and career students.
Our horses range from confidence giving cobs through to advance school masters.
We pride ourselves on our friendly profesional intructors whose qualifications range from BHSAIs to BHSIs.
Our unique location makes us an ideal choice for non-riding partners too, being just minutes away from the Pennine and Calderdale ways, so popular with walkers.
Or, if antique shops are more your style, then explore the many shops and craft centres in nearby Hebden Bridge.
Then relax and enjoy a bar meal in our local country pub just minutes away from the centre.

Facilities |

We have exceptional facilities, including two indoor schools, thirty five stables, classrooms with teaching aids including overhead projector, video etc.
Our horses and ponies are specially selected for their varying abilities from confidence giving cobs to competition thoroughbreds.

This arena was opened in 1997, so is still very new.
It measures 40 metres by 22 metres and has a viewing gallery that seats up tp 50 people.
The surface is a mixture of P.V.C. granules and silica sand.
Priority of this arena is given to larger class lessons.
We have full sets of working hunter and show jumps available for hire with the arena.

This was our original indoor arena. It is a sand surfaced smaller arena measuring 28 metres by 14 metres.
This arena is ideally suited to the children's lessons or the smaller private or semi-private lessons.
This arena also has a small viewing gallery.

We have recently extended this arena to 60 metres by 20 metres.
It has a sand with rubber surface and post and rail fencing.
The arena is set facing the point where the three valleys meet.
The view from the arena is quite breath taking, so your ride becomes even more enjoyable!!

Entrance to our yard is via the reception area where you will be met by one of our friendly members of staff.
The yard stables up to forty horses in winter, ranging from 9hh high up to 18hh.
The yard also has clean toilet facilities and a large secure tack room.

Calderdale boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery that can be easily accessed on the Calderdale and Pennine ways.
The Calderdale way actually runs straight through the middle of the stable yard.
Just a stones throw away are the historic, picturesque towns of Hebden Bridge and Haworth. Both hold regular markets.
If antiques and crafts are more your thing then you will be spoilt for choice in Hebden Bridge.
The surrounding area hosts some of the best country pubs, most serve traditional food all day.
